Meeting of BRICS Business Council to be held in Ufa prior to International Summits

UFA, 11 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. Events of the Business Council of BRICS are planned to be held in Ufa in July prior to SCO and BRICS International Summits. This was discussed at the Board meeting in Brazil, where the main results of the Brazilian presidency of the organization were summarized. Russia was represented by the President of the Chamber of Commerce of the country Sergey Katyrin and Azat Fazlyev, Vice President of Chamber of Commerce RB, who attended the forum representing Bashkortostan.

“Russia made some interesting proposals, in particular, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives - on introducing standards to reduce administrative barriers to business in the BRICS countries. Participants expect to continue the conversation about strengthening economic integration in the states-members, transferring economic cooperation to a qualitatively new level corresponding to external challenges at the upcoming Business Forum in St. Petersburg, which will be held in June, and at the meeting of the Business Council in Ufa.

The Russian part of the Business Council proposes to hold a separate meeting of the leading exhibition companies of BRICS states in late May in Moscow. Its results are supposed to be discussed at the forum in St. Petersburg and during the Business Council of BRICS in Ufa.
