Food prices in Bashkortostan are one of the lowest in the Volga Federal District

UFA, 2 February 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Juliya Antipina/. In Bashkortostan prices of a number of socially significant foods are one of the lowest in the Volga Federal District. Data on monitoring the situation in the food market of Volga Federal District were discussed at a video conference in the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation headed by Vladimir Azarov, the Deputy Director of the Agrifood Market Regulation Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
Statistics showed a slight increase in the purchasing and selling prices of agricultural products and products of its processing. In all regions, including Bashkortostan, special monitoring offices are established. In Bashkortostan monitoring of purchasing and selling prices of agricultural products is conducted daily.
Food prices in the republic are one of the lowest in the district. Thus, the selling price of a kilogram of beef is 185 rubles, pork – 180, chicken - 100.3 rubles.
For comparison, in the Kirov Region the selling price per kilogram of beef is 205 rubles, in the Novgorod Region – 214 rubles.
Cereal prices remain relatively low too. The average price per ton of wheat of the 3rd grade was 10 750 rubles, 4 th grade – 9250 rubles, feed wheat - 8500 rubles, barley - 6750 rubles, buckwheat - 17 000 rubles. In the Perm and the Nizhny Novgorod Regions wheat depending on the grade costs 11-12 thousand rubles per ton, in the Kirov Region feed wheat is 14 thousand rubles.
In Bashkortostan a kilo of flour costs on average 17.6 rubles, and in the Kirov Region - 18.5 rubles. The average price of bread made of wheat flour is 35.67 rubles per kilogram in the republic, in the Kirov Region - 38.5 rubles.
