Mortgage arrears increased by almost one third in Bashkiria in January-November

UFA, 19 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. As of December 1, arrears on mortgage loans of individuals in Bashkortostan were 74 billion 455.4 million rubles, which nearly by one-third (31.4 percent) exceeds the amount at the beginning of 2014. The data are given in the Bulletin of Banking Statistics of the Department - National Bank of the Republic of Bashkortostan of Ural Main Directorate CBR.

Mortgage arrears amounted to 514.2 million rubles. Its share in total debt was 0.7 percent. The share of arrears nationwide was 1.3 percent.

The average size of a mortgage loan was 1.5 million rubles in Bashkortostan last year. In January-November, banks issued to residents of the republic 24 237 loans secured by acquired property worth 35.5 billion rubles. Bashkortostan occupies the second position in the Volga Federal District on this indicator following Tatarstan (45.4 billion rubles) and slightly ahead of the Samara region (35.2 billion rubles).

The weighted average loan term in the republic amounted to 15 years for ruble loans and about 17 years - for loans in foreign currency and precious metals. The weighted average interest rate is 12.5 and 10.7 percent, respectively.
