Bashneft will dispose more than 40 million cubic metres of gas per year

UFA, 14 January 2015. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. Agreement on supply of thermal energy for refineries and petrochemical plants and associated petroleum gas (APG) for Bashkir power plants for 2015-2016 is concluded between LLC "Bashkir Generation Company" (BGK) and JSOC "Bashneft". Guaranteed volume of heat supply under the terms of take-or-pay is 2,5 mln Gcal per year, associated gas - 42.5 million cubic metres. The parties will negotiate commercial quantities annually. It is reported by the press service of BGK. The agreement provides for the possibility of extension up to 2022.

The associated gas from oil fields of the company will be combusted at Thermal Power Plant-4 and Karmanovskaya GRES power plant. Bashneft delivered APG for combustion at power plants and before (in 2014 - 60 million cubic metres), but the agreement on guaranteed volumes was signed for the first time. Thus, Bashneft intends to increase the share of APG utilization. In 2014, 526.9 million cubic metres of gas were received at the company's fields. Utilization rate in 2014, according to the company amounted to 82.1 percent (in 2013 - 72.7 percent).

The press service of BGK reported that the proportion of APG in the total volume of flared gas will be small - about 1 percent.
