Gross agricultural production is expected to reach 135 billion rubles in Bashkiria for 2014

UFA, 30 December 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Arthur Basyrov/. In Bashkortostan, the gross agricultural production will be about 135 billion rubles in 2014, which is 105 percent to the last year's level. This was discussed at the meeting of the Ministry of Agriculture RB, where the agency announced the preliminary results of the year.

In cattle breeding growth was four percent. For the year 1.8 million tons of milk and 390 tons of meat were produced.

It was managed to modernize 304 livestock premises as part of the "500 farms" program. During the three years of the program operation 278 units of agricultural machinery was purchased. At the meeting it was noted that at the modernized farms labour productivity was by 9.6 percent higher than on average across the region.

Among the main objectives in the near future there is successful wintering of livestock, increasing its productivity, compliance with technology of harvesting and storage of feed, keeping and milking cows, increasing the genetic potential of the farmed livestock, training of staff and specialists - engineers, managers.

After the New-Year holidays it is planned once again to hold a meeting with the heads of regions and farms on provision of seeds for spring sowing 2015.
