250 ambulances will be equipped with GLONASS system in Bashkiria by the end of 2014.

UFA, 28 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. 250 ambulances and emergency care vehicles will be equipped with GLONASS system in Bashkortostan till the end of 2014, the press service of the State Committee on Transport and Road Facilities RB informs.

About 50 percent of the contract value will be paid from the federal budget under the agreement between the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation and the Government RB on grants in 2013-2014. All equipped vehicles will be connected to the regional navigation and information system.

Introduction of modern technologies on GLONASS/GPS platform will help to coordinate the work of ambulances and accelerate the time of arrival to patients.

Improvement of emergency medical services, in particular, optimization of its vehicles, is held under the program "Introduction of GLONASS satellite navigation technology to the benefit of social and economic development of Bashkortostan Republic" for 2012-2015.
