Food basket in Bashkiria increased by 6 percent at the growth of food prices by 8.8 percent

UFA, 19 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. Monthly calculated minimum set of foods in the republic rose by 6 percent from the beginning of the year and now stands at 2780.63 rubles, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency. The general inflation level amounted to 7 percent in the region in January-October, and food prices rose by 8.8 percent.

The cost of the food basket is calculated based on the cost of its constituent foods and their consumption norms for a man of working age. The methodology is approved by the Government of the Russian Federation. This index is used to reflect regional differentiation in consumer prices levels.
