European Quality Week starts on November 10

UFA, 10 November 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. On November 10, the European Quality Week starts. These days large-scale events held in many countries are aimed at attracting the attention of the public, producers, consumers and governments to quality as an essential condition for economic and social progress, the State Regional Standardization, Metrology and Testing Centre of Bashkortostan Republic informs.

The culmination of the Week is the World Quality Day, traditionally celebrated every second Thursday of November. The initiator of the holiday was the European Organization for Quality (EOQ), supported by the United Nations. This holiday was celebrated for the first time in 1989. In 1995, the EOC has announced the second week of November as the European Quality Week.

Throughout the week, many enterprises of the country will conduct shows, exhibitions and conferences devoted to quality issues. In Bashkortostan, the concluding event of the Quality Week will be the Republican Conference devoted to the World Quality Day. It will be held at the Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy on November 14.
