Foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria rose by 5.7 percent compared to January-September 2013 - Customs

UFA, 23 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Elvira Latypova/. Foreign trade turnover in the region of Bashkortostan customs activities amounted to USD 2 billion 2.7 million in January-September –by 5.7 percent more than in the same period of 2013. According to the press service of the Customs, exports declined by 6 percent - to 1 billion 327.7 million dollars, imports increased by 40.2 percent - up to 675.9 million dollars.
The share of trade with non-CIS countries accounted for 87.5 percent of the foreign trade turnover, with CIS countries – for 12.5 percent.
The products manufactured in Bashkortostan were exported mainly to India (19.5 percent of total exports), China (18.8) and Finland (12.7). The goods were imported to the republic mainly from Japan (25.7 percent of total imports), the United Kingdom (19.2) and China (10.4).
35.1 percent of exports are engineering products (turbojet engines and parts, helicopter), 34.1 percent - chemical products (urea, rubber, styrene, bisphenol, butyl alcohol, agidol), 14.6 percent - mineral products (liquid pyrolysis products, road asphalt, a mixture of hydrocarbons, tar), 10.1 percent - metals and their products (hot-rolled, secondary aluminum alloy).
Industrial units for various purposes and their parts, cars, geophysical equipment (66.7 percent of total imports), metals and metal products (17.9), chemical products, including PVC, catalysts, polyethylene, polyamide (10,4) dominate in the total range of products imported from abroad.
