Ufa Airport finalizes preparations for the autumn-winter period

UFA, 21 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. Ufa International Airport completes the preparations for the autumn-winter period, the press service of the Ufa air hub informs. Ground support services and departments of the airport conducted seasonal maintaining of transport and construction equipment, checked availability of technological and fire-technical equipment, airfield and runways, communication means. Ufa Airport for the first time began to conduct training of ground support services on aircraft simulator.

The autumn-winter period 2014-2015 is distinguished with special conditions: aircraft maintenance is performed simultaneously with construction of the international terminal and airfield structures reconstruction - perimeter fence, apron, taxiways, aircraft parking and special equipment. A special area for treatment of aircrafts with deicing fluid is being erected on the apron. The measures taken will help to ensure safety and regularity of flights during a snowfall, ice-slick and temperature extremes.

The airport starts working in the conditions of the autumn-winter season since October 26.
