Residents of Bashkortostan buy fewer new cars

UFA, 17 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Arina Rakhimkulova/. For the first nine months of this year in Bashkortostan new car market reached 57.1 thousand units, that is by 17.3 percent less than the previous year (69,000 units). The republic is in the Top-10 Russian regions in terms of the new cars market in the reporting period. Such data are given by the analytical agency "Autostat".

The leading position in the rating is traditionally occupied by Moscow and Moscow region, where for the first three quarters of 2014 374.5 thousand new cars were sold. The share of the capital and its suburbs amounted to 22.8 percent in the total market. More than half (52.4 percent) of the Russian market is accounted for ten leading regions, including Bashkortostan, which ranks the sixth.

In all regions included in the Top 10 sales of new passenger cars fell compared with the same period of the last year. Experts point out that Bashkortostan market declined most significantly.

Recall that at half-year end, the republic took the fifth place in the rating. Then the new car market was 38.9 thousand units, by 11.6 percent less than for six months of the last year (44,000).
