Grain yield in Bashkiria is 15.1 centners per hectare

UFA, 2 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. Today the average grain yield is 15.1 centners per hectare in Bashkortostan, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB. The highest rates are demonstrated by Chekmagush (32.1 centners / ha), Meleuz (25.6 centners / ha), Sterlitamak (23.2 centners / ha) and Ilishevo (22.2 centners / ha) regions.

To date total 2.67 million tons of grain are harvested in the republic. The largest volumes of grain are collected in the same regions - Sterlitamak (162.5 thousand tons), Chekmagush (157.8 thousand), Meleuz (135.7 thousand) and Ilishevo (129.5 thousand).

As the ministry explains, the grain harvesting is almost complete in the region. It is left to harvest about one percent of the area in the Trans-Urals and in the north-east of the republic.
