Sugar beets are harvested on 50 percent of the areas in Bashkortostan

UFA, 2 October 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Iliya Spiridonov/. In Bashkiria sugar beet is harvested on the area of 24.6 thousand hectares, which is 50 percent of the plan, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs. At an average yield of 259 centners per hectare 637.5 thousand tons of these crops are harvested. 357.6 thousand tons are delivered to sugar mills, of which 86.7 tons are already processed.

The highest yield (403 centners per hectare) is registered in farms of Chishmy region. They are also the leaders in gross yield - they collected about 70 thousand tons. The largest volume of sugar beet (65 thousand tons) is sent for processing from Blagovar region.
