More than 2.5 million tons of grain were collected in Bashkortostan

In Bashkortostan, since the beginning of the harvesting campaign 2.53 million tons of grain were harvested at an average yield of 15 dt/ha, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs. In 17 districts of the republic harvest of grain crops and leguminous plants is complete. It is less than five percent of bread crops that should be harvested, mainly in the Trans-Urals, as well as in the northern and north-eastern regions.

Also harvesting of sugar beets continues in the republic. More than 350 thousand tons of roots were collected with an average yield of 267 kg per hectare. As of today, sugar beets were collected on 13.1 thousand hectares, which is 27 percent of the plan. The highest yields are registered in Chishmy region - 431 dt/ha. Blagovar region is the leader in gross yield with the figure of 46.2 thousand tons.
