Ruslan cargo aircraft landed in Ufa International Airport

UFA, 16 September 2014. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/. The aircraft AN-124 "Ruslan" of Volga-Dnepr airline arrived at Ufa International Airport with cargo for Ufa Engine Industrial Association , the press service of the Ufa air hub informs.

The aircraft of this type landed in Ufa airport due to commissioning of the second take-off runway after the reconstruction.

The maximum take-off weight of the AN-124 is 392 tons; it is one of the biggest air-freighters.

According to the pilot-in-command of the AN-124 Alexander Khalyavin, not every airport in Russia can accept cargo aircraft of this type. Assessing the quality of the runway, the level of aircraft maintenance Alexander Khalyavin noted that Ufa had great potential and all opportunities in serious development of freight traffic.

To date, the Ufa International Airport is ready to receive large passenger aircrafts Boeing 747, Boeing 777, the airport staff is trained to service the aircraft of A 330 type.
