Industrial production increased by 1.7 percent in Bashkiria in January-July

In January-July the index of industrial production in the republic amounted to 101.7 percent to the same period in 2013, slightly higher than the nationwide result (101.5), according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

In July industrial production index was at the level of 100.4 percent to July 2013 and 99.5 percent - to June 2014.

Since the beginning of the year a positive trend is observed in the chemical industry (the growth of 12 percent compared to January-July 2013), in wood processing and manufacturing of electrical equipment (7.3 - 7.9), food production (5), mining (3,5), generation and distribution of electricity, gas and water, production of other non-metallic mineral products and petroleum products (1.7 - 2.2), machinery and equipment (0.8). Production of vehicles remained at the last year's level.

The reduction in production of finished products was registered in manufacture of rubber and plastic products, pulp and paper, publishing and printing (65.7 - 66.2 percent compared to January-July 2013), in metallurgy, production of leather, leather products and footwear at textile and clothing enterprises (91.5 - 92.7 percent).

By regions of the Volga Federal District the industrial production index in January and July ranges from 95.1 percent in the Ulyanovsk Region to 114.9 percent in the Republic of Mordovia.
