Rustem Khamitov met with experts of UrbanBairam forum

On August 20, Rustem Khamitov held a working meeting with experts of the second UrbanBairam forum at the House of Republic. Issues of strategic urban development of Bashkortostan, forming quality of urban environment, improving efficiency of the transport system were discussed there, the press service of the head of the region informs.

“From the very first days of my work as the head of the republic I have always paid attention to the issue of life quality improving not only in terms of wage increase, availability of places in kindergartens, but also regarding the quality of environment where our people live. To the naked eye it was evident that the things were not very good with this in the country and in the republic and in Ufa, in particular. We are experiencing huge problems while moving within the cities due to lack of recreation areas, due to continuous pressure of the urban environment on people, and not only in cities, but often in settlements, although it would seem that there is no such pressure there,” Rustem Khamitov said.

According to him, "people have no places to have a rest, to spend time with their families".

"It seems to me that this is actually a scale and serious task to improve the urban environment where people live, and as a result – to get a new quality of life, new results in production," the head of the republic said.
