Bashneft has acquired the Optan chain of petrol stations

The chain of petrol stations operating under the OPTAN brand name and comprising 92 filling stations and 11 land plots in 12 regions of Russia, came under control of Bashneft, the press service of the company informs. The deal amounted to 8.8 billion rubles. The aim of the acquisition was to increase the number of Bashneft’s petrol stations in priority development regions that are geographically close to the Ufa refinery complex.

As a result of the transaction, the company gained control over 100% of shares of CJSC OPTAN-AZS, which owns 49 petrol stations and three land plots. Earlier the Company had gained control over a 100% stake in LLCAZS-Saransk and LLC AZS-Ufa, and CJSC Ural and CJSC Helios owning 43 petrol stations operating under the OPTAN brand name and eight land plots.

Most of OPTAN’s petrol stations are located in regional centres and along the М5 Ural, М7 Volga and М51 Baikal federal highways. The press service of the company marks that the majority of the petrol stations are characterized by good technical condition and advantageous location of land plots planned for construction of new petrol stations.

The company plans rebranding, as well as modernization and reconstruction of some of its facilities.
