Mortgage arrears in Bashkiria increased by 40.2 percent in July 2013

Mortgage arrears amounted to 65.6 billion rubles in Bashkortostan in the beginning of July – by 40.2 percent higher than a year earlier, it follows from statistical data of the National Bank RB. The relative share of overdue loans decreased during the same period from 1 to 0.7 percent.

In the first half of the year banks issued 12,855 mortgage loans with total volume of 17.8 billion rubles in the territory of the republic. Bashkortostan occupies on this indicator the second position in the Volga Federal District after Tatarstan (21.8 billion rubles) and slightly ahead of Samara region (17.5 billion rubles).

The weighted average term of mortgage lending is about 15 years for ruble loans and 14 years - for loans in foreign currency in the republic. The weighted average interest rate is 12.3 and 10.7 percent per annum, respectively.
