Rustem Khamitov: "Entrepreneurs do a lot for development of our republic"

On July 24, in Neftekamsk Khamitov held a working meeting with business community of the republic. Development of small and medium enterprises in Bashkortostan was discussed, in particular, on the basis of cooperation, subcontracting and outsourcing, the press service of the head of the region informs.

"I appreciate and treat with respect our business community. I understand that businesses do a lot for development of the republic. These are people with an active lifestyle that can arrange things, can organize people around themselves, can create products, jobs and so on. In this sense, there is no doubt that the business community performs a very important positive work, and, of course, government should help entrepreneurs and business at all levels ", Rustem Khamitov said.

"At the same time, the development of business is going on with some difficulties", he stressed. And he added that "There are still many administrative barriers". "We should learn to overcome and eliminate these barriers."

Khamitov said that the production volumes, manufactured by small and medium businesses, are not yet high - only 3.5-3.6 percent of industrial output.

"Of course, these figures are not appropriate. The worst thing is that these figures stabilized and are not growing. We need a qualitative and quantitative growth. We need businesses that employ people, that produce finished products. Unfortunately, there are not many of such enterprises. Often small businesses are engaged in trade and purchasing activities, they are included in statistics and make good figures and, unfortunately, we do not have production to the extent which we would like it to be", the head of the republic said.
