Ufa industrial enterprises shipped goods for 317 billion rubles YTD

Since the beginning of the year industrial enterprises of Ufa shipped own-produced goods, as well as works and services for 317.7 billion rubles, the press service of the city administration informs. Compared with the same period of the last year, the figure rose by 22 percent. Industrial production index was 101.6 percent.

As the head of the Department of Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Ufa City Hall Alexander Zarubin marks, in terms of products shipped Ufa ranks the first among the cities of the Volga Federal District and the third among the largest megacities after Omsk and Perm. The most significant sector of urban industry is petroleum refining, which accounts for over 60 percent of the products shipped.

The capital of Bashkortostan also leads among subjects of the Volga Federal District as having the smallest number of unprofitable enterprises. For five months of 2014, their share constituted 22.7 percent.
