Heads of customs discuss Ufa air checkpoints work

Air checkpoints work in the Volga Federal District is discussed by executives of Volga Customs Directorate and regional customs in Ufa on Thursday.

"Currently there are 12 air checkpoints in the Volga Federal District. Our main task is to discuss issues of reducing passengers’ registration time at simultaneous control effectiveness increase,” Sergey Rybkin, the chief of the Volga Customs Directorate told reporters.

According to Sergei Rybkin, breach of customs legislation is often caused by passengers, which are uninformed about prohibition or restriction of certain goods importation. During the holidays the number of such violations increases.

Customs of Bashkortostan enhances work in this direction in connection with the forthcoming SCO and BRICS Summits in July 2015. According to the head of the republican customs Yuri Vladimirov, comfortable conditions for passengers and the customs service will be created in Ufa airport after renovation.
