Mortgage debt in Bashkiria has grown while decrease in overdue payments

Arrears on mortgage ruble loans amounted to 63 billion 664 million rubles in Bashkortostan at the beginning of June, which exceeds the figure as of June 1, 2013 by 41.9 percent, according to the materials posted on the website of the Bank of Russia. Along with the growth of total debt a share of overdue payments decreased from 0.99 percent to 0.66 percent.

In January-May in the republic 10,725 ruble mortgage loans were granted for 14 billion 617 million rubles. The weighted average loan term was about 15 years. The weighted average rate was 12.3 percent per annum.

Mortgage loans in foreign currency are not so popular in Bashkortostan. For five months, only two loans for 5 million rubles were provided.
