Food basket got up by 16.5 percent in Bashkiria in the first half of the year

The minimum set of food in the republic worth 3056.2 rubles as of the beginning of July. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, from the beginning of the year it rose by 16.5 percent.

Inflation over the same period was 4.8 percent. This year food prices are rising faster than in the past: 8.3 percent versus 6.1 percent in January-June 2013.

The cost of the minimum food basket is calculated taking into account the needs in the main types of food for a man of working age. This indicator is used for inter-regional differentiation of consumer prices.
