Foreign trade turnover fell by 10.1 percent in Bashkiria for six months - Customs

In the region of Bashkortostan customs operation the foreign trade turnover amounted to 1 billion 143.7 million U.S. dollars in January-June, including export - 840.2 million dollars, import - 303.5 million dollars. Compared with the first half of 2013, trade with foreign partners decreased by 10.1 percent (exports fell by 13.4 percent and imports increased by 0.6 percent), it follows from the customs reports.

The decrease in export transactions was influenced by reduction in export of machinery (25.1 percent compared to January-June 2013) and chemical products (26.6 percent). These two items form 34.6 and 37.4 percent of total exports of the republic, respectively. The sales of food and textiles abroad reduced. Growth is marked in other commodity groups.

Major shippers are JSC "UMPO", LLC "Industrial Railway", JSC "Ufaorgsintez", JSC "Rubber Synthesis", JSC "Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant", JSC "KumAPP" and several other companies.

In the first half of the year the import of metals and metal ware increased significantly - by 63.6 percent compared to January-June 2013. This commodity group is accounted for 13.3 percent of total imports. The basic position of the national import is engineering products (69 percent), for six months it added 1.2 percent. Import of other goods declined.

The main recipients of foreign goods are JSC "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat", LLC "Kronospan Bashkortostan", LLC "Uzdaewooavto-Ufa", JSC "Salavatneftehimremstroy", LLC "Transterminal."
