Transport Strategy of Bashkortostan till 2030 involves local air transportation development

Draft of Transport Strategy of the republic until 2030 developed by "Bashkirdortransproekt" Design Institute supposes development of air links within Bashkortostan. The document envisages reconstruction and commissioning of local airports.
The developers propose to the Government to commission local and regional airports in Neftekamsk and Sibay, which were reconstructed in 2010-2011, as well as to reconstruct civil aviation airfields and airport complexes in Beloretsk and Sterlitamak.
Currently, apart from Ufa International Airport the Pervushino airfield operates in Bashkortostan. Also in the republic there are two unused airfields "Beloretsk" and "Sterlitamak." In Beloretsk AN-24 and lighter airplanes and helicopters of all types can land. The length of the runway is 1,600 m, width - 40 m. The "Sterlitamak" aerodrome is occasionally used for flights on oil pipelines, forests monitoring and emergency flights.
In addition, in Bashkortostan there are unused landing fields - "Sibay", "Neftekamsk", "Zabelsky", "Maksimovka". Construction of new airports is not planned in the republic in the near future.
