Rustem Khamitov: "Fierce competition for agricultural products markets is going on"

On July 10, addressing to participants of the seminar "Field Day 2014" in Meleuz the head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov noted that the agrarian sector in the republic required constant monitoring and attention.
The main agricultural production is associated with milk in Bashkortostan, the head of the republic said.
"This is the most profitable product for our territory, due to which we can work and grow. In Russia there is not enough milk. And we see that this niche, if not free, at least allows us working confidently in it", Khamitov marked.
Shortage of personnel in rural areas was also discussed at the seminar-meeting.
"We have a shortage of staff at seeming surplus of specialists with higher education. We know that our Agrarian University preparing specialists ready for work, gives the figures that only 70 percent, rarely 75 percent of graduates start working in rural areas", Khamitov said.
Another important topic is living conditions in villages.
"We need gas, water supply, roads, electricity, and clubs. We need an infrastructure where you can visit a hairdresser, have a wellness treatment and get such services, which are available in cities", the head of the republic underlined.
In addition, various forms of support to agricultural enterprises ranging from large to small were mentioned at the plenary session. The results of the subsidizing program of agricultural machinery purchase were considered.
"We are one of the best in the Russian Federation. Everybody say that you can visit Bashkortostan; you can study and learn there. But we should not stop on this, because our competitors are up-and-doing, the work goes on, the markets are not so large and fierce competition is carried out for them".
