Bashkiria increased housing construction volume by 13.9 percent in January-May 2013

In January-May, 735.1 thousand square metres of housing were built in the republic – by 13.9 percent more than during the same period of 2013, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

The share of enterprises and organizations constitutes 19.1 percent of total housing constructed in the region. It is 140.4 thousand square metres that is by 41.7 percent more than the comparable indicator of 2013. Of these, 24.4 thousand square metres meet the standards of economy class.

Population at its own expense built 594.7 thousand square metres (plus 8.8 percent compared to January-May 2013).

Bashkortostan takes the second position in terms of housing construction volume, conceding to Tatarstan (1.08 million square metres) and ahead of Nizhny Novgorod region (355.2 thousand square metres).
