Khaidar Valeev: "Early voting starts in Bashkiria on September 3"

“Early voting in the election campaigns of 2014 will be only at municipal elections in Bashkortostan”, the head of the Central Election Commission RB Khaidar Valeev said. “It will begin on September 3 and end on September 13, 2014. Early voting will be organized in precinct election commissions.”

The Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency told about the specific features of election campaigns of 2014.

Municipal elections this year are accompanied by such a novelty in the legislation as early voting.

“Now, under federal law, a voter who cannot come at the polling station on the voting day where he is included in the voters list, unless provided voting with absentee ballots should be given an opportunity to vote ahead of schedule in the premises of the respective territorial or precinct election commission”, Khaidar Valeev said.
