Bashkiria population has increased by 1438 people since the beginning of 2014

The overall result of natural movement and migration of the population was positive and amounted to 1438 people in January-April. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, migration loss (minus 355 people) was compensated by the natural population increase (1793).

In January -April, 19,742 babies were born in the republic that is by 5.2 percent more than for the same period of the last year. An increase in the birth rate was marked in all cities except Sibay and 29 districts. During the same period 17,949 people died – by 1.7 percent less.

Thus, the number of births in Bashkortostan has exceeded the number of deaths by 10 percent. In January - April of the last year, the difference was much smaller - 2.8 percent.

Throughout the country the situation is opposite: the number of deaths exceeds the number of births by 4.6 percent. Natural population growth is observed in 40 subjects of the Russian Federation.

In the Volga Federal District, the number of births exceeded the number of deaths in six regions: Tatarstan (plus 2244 people), Bashkortostan (1793), the Udmurt Republic (786), the Perm region (320), the Republic of Mari El (192), Chuvash Republic (73).
