17 percent of checked dairy products do not conform to standards in Bashkiria - Rospotrebnadzor

Results of 114 onsite inspections of republican enterprises engaged in milk production and turnover showed that 17 percent of their production does not meet hygienic standards, Rospotrebnadzor (Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights) on RB reports.

486 samples were taken for examination, of which 83 were rejected. Specifically, 24 percent of samples of drinking milk showed non-conformity to standards, 7.8 percent of dairy products, 19.2 percent of butter, 25.4 of sour cream, 26.8 of cottage cheese, 13.6 percent of cheese, 30 percent of condensed milk. Only ice cream products had no remarks.

The leading republican manufacturers are among standards breakers.

419 kg of milk and dairy products were rejected, 170 administrative cases were initiated, and orders were issued to eliminate violations following the results of checks.
