Food basket showed a growth of 10.9 percent in Bashkiria YTD

The cost of the minimum food basket amounted to 2 910.54 rubles per month in Bashkortostan in April. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, it went up by 10.9 percent since the beginning of the year.

Recall that the inflation was 3.4 percent in the republic during the same period. The food prices showed outstripping growth rate. Fruit and vegetables, including potatoes became much more expensive.

The cost of the minimum food basket is calculated based on the price of foodstuff comprising it and consumption norms for a man of a working age. This indicator is used in statistics to reflect regional differentiation levels of consumer prices for basic products.
