Monetary income of Bashkortostan population in March decreased by 2.9 percent to March 2013

Income of Bashkortostan population amounted to 20 914.2 rubles per person in March, down from March 2013 by 2.9 percent in real terms, i.e. adjusted for inflation. Nominally the same income increased by 3.9 percent, according to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency.

Average monthly income in the first quarter amounted to 19 458.3 rubles. The index increased slightly - by 6.8 percent in nominal terms and by 0.7 percent in real terms compared to the level of January- March 2013.

Average salary was 22 492.3 rubles in March in Bashkortostan, 22 006.7 rubles per month in the first quarter of the year. Nominally, these figures exceeded the comparable 2013 level by 4.9 and 7 percent, respectively. In real terms, growth in wages barely manages to cover inflation: the March index was lower than the last year's by 1.5 percent, and higher than the index of the first quarter by 0.9 percent.
