Rustem Khamitov : "The banks operating in our republic are quite reliable and strong"

"Banks operating in our republic are quite reliable and strong", including those banks in which relation "all sorts of rumors are distributed and exaggerated today". This was said by Rustem Khamitov, the President of Bashkortostan during a meeting with reporters on Tuesday.

According to the President of the Republic, for the last three or four years "a new quality of the banking system" has been reached - the banks operating here began to invest more in the development of Bashkortostan, providing a "positive balance in favour of our republic".

“As for me, I keep my money in our republican banks”, Khamitov said. “From the very first day of my work I stated that the banks of the republic should be strong. And I do everything I can to strengthen their reliability, their stability ... It is very important to have our own banking system. Because these banks work truly to the benefit of the economy of our republic”.

Commenting on licenses revocation in a number of banks, Khamitov marked that these credit institutions "are not fully banks of our republic", for example , AF Bank was a part of Kazakhstan system.
