The South Korean company will produce elevators in Sterlitamak

Manufacturing elevators of the Travis brand is planned to start in Sterlitamak in the end of this year. The South Korean company manufacturing elevators, escalators and auto parking systems Saehan Travis Elevator became a resident of the largest in the Southern Urals innovation infrastructure complex "Inmash". The joint project was presented at "Volgastroyexpo" exhibition in Kazan.
Construction and installation works on the future production site will begin in September. First products output is scheduled for December 2014. The project with a total investment of about $ 5 million involves production of four thousand lifts per year. The production will be focused on the Russian market.
The "Inmash" Director Rishat Valiakhmetov is sure that cooperation with Saehan Travis Elevator will provide a mutually beneficial exchange of technology. "This priority investment project involves a manufacture of products according to international standards, creation of new jobs, training ," Rishat Valiahhmetov said.
According to the representative of the Public Agency for Strategic Initiatives in the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Davletov, Inmash Technopark for the last five years doubled the number of residents and tripled the number of jobs, gross revenues increased six-fold. Inmash Technopark (Sterlitamak) was formed on the basis of "Inmash" concern in 2009. Over 600 units of industrial equipment are located on the area of about 110,000 square meters. Among the main residents of Technopark are Inmash Concern (engineering) , "Yuzhny Ural" company (packaging production) Sterlitamak Mechanical Plant , "Transtekhnika" company (metalwork), "Rusfiltr" ( production of automotive filters). Gross revenue of Inmash Technopark residents amounted to 247.9 million rubles in 2013.
