Ufa International Airport increased passenger traffic by 10 percent compared to January- March 2013

For three months of 2014 the total number of passengers at the Ufa International Airport exceeded 469 thousand people, an increase of 10 percent for the first quarter of 2013.

As the press service of the airport informs, the overall increase in passenger traffic on domestic routes experts explain by the opening of subsidized program of regional air service in the first quarter of 2014. The most popular are flights from Ufa to Kirov, Orenburg, Perm and Nizhny Novgorod. Bangkok, Dubai, Sharjah and Goa became leaders of growth in passenger travel destinations.

237 thousand passengers (plus 9 percent) departed, 228 thousand (plus 11 percent) arrived. Including on domestic routes 180 thousand passengers (plus 12 percent) departed, 169 thousand (plus 13 percent) arrived.

On international flights for three months 115 thousand passengers (growth of 3 percent ) were transported, of which 57 thousand ( plus 1 percent ) departed, 58 thousand(plus 4 percent) arrived.

The total volume of cargo in the first quarter of 2014 amounted to 791 tons (growth by seven percent). Mail shipments increased by 37 percent.

The number of flights increased: 3353 scheduled departures were produced, which is by 21 percent more than in the first quarter of 2013.

In March 2014 Ufa International Airport served 169 thousand passengers with an increase by 12 percent by March 2013. Cargo transportation increased by two percent, including the mail shipping - by 29 percent. The number of flights increased by one quarter - to 1214 scheduled departures.
