UMPO purchased patents from NPO "Saturn"

Exclusive rights to 251 patents for inventions and utility models previously owned by NPO "Saturn" became the property of JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UMPO), the press service of UMPO informs. Authors of know-how are employees of Experimental Design Bureau by the name of A.Lyulka, which previously was part of "Saturn", and in 2013 became a subsidiary of UMPO. 82 patents were previously jointly owned by UMPO and "Saturn".

Almost all patents relate to the production of the main UMPO products - gas turbine engines of AL series, including the latest AL-41F -1S for Su- 35S fighter of the "4 + +" generation.

JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" is the Russian largest manufacturer of aircraft engines. It is engaged in development, manufacturing, service and repair of turbojet engines and pumping units, production and repairs of helicopters. It is included in the United Engine Corporation — a wholly owned subsidiary of OPK "Oboronprom" on engine assets management.
