Residents of Bashkiria kept 159 million rubles in "Stroycredit" Bank with revoked license

Residents of Bashkortostan held 159 million rubles at JSC Commercial Bank "Stroycredit" (Moscow), or 0.07 percent of total deposits in the republic. It is reported by the National Bank RB.

The "Stroycredit" commercial bank was revoked a license to conduct banking operations by the decision of the Bank of Russia on March 18. Reasons were mentioned, in particular, as failure to comply with federal laws regulating banking activities, and establishing the facts of essential unreliability of reported data.

Management of CB "Stroycredit" is imposed on a temporary administration. Powers of the executive bodies of CB "Stroycredit" are suspended.

"Stroycredit" is a participant of the deposit insurance system. Revocation of a license is an insurance case. Within 14 days from the date of the insured event the State Corporation "Deposit Insurance Agency" (DIA) will appoint the agent banks for the payment of insurance claims on deposits. Depositors will be able to get their money in the agent bank within three working days from the date of the documents submission. By law, the maximum amount of the indemnity on the deposit is 700 thousand rubles. Refund of amounts in excess of the limit will be made through the liquidation (bankruptcy proceedings) - proportionally to the bank's obligations and in accordance with priority established by law.
