In January-February Bashkiria reduced exports by a quarter - Customs

Bashkortostan has reduced the volume of exports in January and February by 24.1 percent to 191.8 million U.S. dollars compared with the same period of the last year, the Customs of Bashkortostan informs. According to the Customs, the general index of exports was significantly affected - by 53.5 percent – by a decline in exports of chemical products. Textiles were exported less also. In the remaining groups an increase was observed in export shipments.
In the structure of exports 42.8 percent are accounted for chemical products (diphenylolpropane, rubber, butane, carbamide, polyethylene), 19.6 percent – for engineering products (turbojet engines and parts, helicopters), 16.8 percent – for metals and metal products, 13.5 percent – for mineral products, etc.
Major exporters of the republic are JSC "Ufaorgsintez", JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association", JSC "Beloretsk Metallurgical Plant", LLC "Industrial Railway Enterprise", JSC "Syntez-Kauchuk", JSC "KumAPP" JSOC Bashneft, October Branch of "SG-Trans" gas transportation.
The volume of imports during the same period increased by 30.6 percent - to 93.3 million U.S. dollars. Customs department notes the significant increase in import of engineering products and metals, which form nearly 85 percent of total imports.
In the structure of imported goods 53.1 percent are accounted for engineering products, 31.5 percent – for metals and metal products, 8.8 percent – for chemical products, 2.9 percent – for food products, etc.
The main receivers of cargoes were LLC "Kronospan Bashkortostan", JSC "Gazprom neftekhim Salavat", LLC "UzDAEWOOAuto-Ufa", JSC Poultry Farm "Bashkirskaya", JSC "Bashneftegeofizika", LLC "Transterminal ", JSC "Salavatneftehimremstroy".
Thus, the foreign trade turnover in the region of Bashkortostan customs activity in January and February was formed in the amount of US$ 285.2 million, which is by 12.1 percent less than the comparable figure of 2013.
