Polief Plant implemented energy efficient excess steam usage

Polief Plant summed up intermediate results of a new heat supply station work. The idea of the project on usagee of excess steam to heat production of terephthalic acid (TPA) was proposed by employees of the company.

In 2011 a competition was held among the specialists of the plant for the best idea to use excess steam, which was formed while TPA production. The staff suggested its application for heating industrial buildings.

Preparatory and assembly works on the project have been conducted for two years. In late 2013, the facility was launched; the excess steam began to heat seven buildings of TPA production. Consumption of technical hot water reduced almost twice at the same time.
