Bashkiria 's economically active population exceeds 1.988 million people

The economically active population of Bashkortostan now exceeds 1,988 million people. The overall unemployment rate, in accordance with standards of the International Labour Organization, is 5.8 percent in the region. According to ILO standards, the republic has 116 000 unemployed.

Such survey data on employment on average for the year of 2013 are given by the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Bashkortostan.

The average salary in the republic for 2013 reached 22 440.2 rubles. The minimum living wage for able-bodied population was 6,897 rubles.
