Since the beginning of the year inflation in Bashkiria amounted to 1.4 percent

Within two months of 2014 the consumer price index in the republic reached the level of 101.4 percent. According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, inflation fell by 0.2 percentage points compared with the comparable index of 2013. The February index was 100.6 percent.

The average Russian consumer price index for goods and services was 101.3 percent in January- February. In the Volga Federal District it ranges from 100.3 percent in the Udmurt Republic to 101.9 percent in the Chuvash Republic.

In Bashkortostan food rose in prices by 2.6 percent for two months, non-food products – by 0.1 percent, services by 1.4 percent (in January - February 2013 - 2.6, 0.7 and 1.5 percent, respectively).

Statistics say that in most regions of the Volga Federal District prices for dairy products, potatoes, vegetables and vodka significantly increased. Increase in oil products and medical services prices was not such considerable.
