Six meteo stations will appear on federal roads in Bashkiria

This year, it is planned to install six stations of automated weather observation system (ASMO) in Bashkortostan.

According to the Directorate of the Highway Samara - Ufa - Chelyabinsk of the Federal Road Agency, three stations will appear on the highway P-240 Ufa – Orenburg, another two - on the highway M-5 "Ural" , one - on the highway West bypassing of Ufa.

Last year 11 additional meteo stations were established on the road M-5 "Ural", M-7 "Volga" and P -240 " Ufa - Orenburg". Currently, the total number of ASMO reaches 24 units.

As a result of work conducted during 2011-2014, on average one ASMO station will be located every 30 kilometers in the region, the Directorate of the Highway Samara - Ufa – Chelyabinsk reports.

All the data coming from such stations are real-time processed and transmitted through the Internet to the experts of the Directorate directly involved in maintenance of roads, as well as to contractors for taking appropriate measures.
