The Air Force received 12 Russian fighter jets with engines produced by UMPO

In February the Russian Air Force received 12 fighter jets of 4 + + generation, equipped with engines manufactured by JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" (UMPO). According to the press service of the association, 24 engines AL- 41F -1S (117S) are delivered to the Defence Ministry RF through JSC "Sukhoi " in the framework of the state defense order in 2013.

A developer of AL-41F -1S is a branch of UMPO - A. Lyulki Experimental Design Bureau. New engine modification differs with augmented thrust, large TBO, reduced fuel consumption, all-aspect controlled thrust vectoring. AL-41F -1S allows the aircraft developing supersonic speed without afterburner, which is one of the major requirements to the fifth generation fighter.

JSC "Ufa Engine Industrial Association" is the Russian largest manufacturer of aircraft engines. It is engaged in development, manufacturing, service and repair of turbojet engines and pumping units, production and repairs of helicopters. It is included in the United Engine Corporation - a 100 percent subsidiary of OPK "Oboronprom" on engine assets management.
