Government of Bashkiria and UMPO prepare to sign an investment agreement

An investment agreement will be signed between the Government of Bashkortostan and UMPO concerning production of the 117S engine for Sukhoi aircrafts. This was reported by the head of department Alexey Karpuhin at the board meeting of the Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy RB on Thursday, February 27.

“Currently an investment agreement is being prepared for signing regarding the terms of priority investment project implementation between the Government of the republic and UMPO”, Alexey Karpuhin said. “It is creation and production development of 117S engine designed for use at Sukhoi aircrafts.”

According to the Minister, UMPO implements four investment projects. They are aimed at the development of new technologies for production of advanced gas turbine engines of the fifth-generation and creation of knowledge-intensive test facilities. Ultimately, these projects will make UMPO "the main contractor on the modernization program of combat air force of the Russian Federation", Alexei Karpuhin marked.
