Gas supply can now be limited after two months of partial payment

Gas suppliers received the right to unilaterally suspend gas supply at non-payment or partial payment for services by subscriber within two months. The new rule is introduced by RF Government Decree "On amendments to certain acts of the Government related to the gas supply."
Before restricting gas supply, the gas supplier shall notify a subscriber by registered letter at least 20 calendar days in advance.
Same rules permitted suspension of gas supply in case of nonpayment or partial payment of gas within three months with notification at least 40 and 20 calendar days in advance.
The debt exceeding the sum of the two-month fee calculated on the basis of standard consumption is considered as partial payment of utilities according to the legislation.
