Number of appeals to the labour inspectorate is growing in Bashkiria
In 2013, the State Labour Inspectorate of Bashkortostan considered more than five thousand written applications, which is by 12.4 percent more than in 2012. Almost as many people came to personal appointments or made calls on the "hot line", the department informs.
“The reasons for almost half, or rather, for 45.8 percent of all requests were violations of labour remuneration procedures. The majority of complaints related to non-payment of final settlement on the day of dismissal. However, an increasing number of complaints concerned the delay in salary for the whole company. In 2012, it was 5 percent of complaints on labour remuneration, and last year - about 10 percent,” the Head of the State Labour Inspectorate in Bashkortostan Irina Svintitskaya reports.
In addition, the number of complaints about non-compliance of labour relations did not decrease in the region.
According to the results of inspections, more than one thousand (47.7 percent) of appeals were recognized reasonable by labour inspection.
Labour inspectors issued 2450 orders on elimination of violations of workers' rights pursuant to which 3200 workers received 53.6 million rubles of unpaid wages, various underpayments and illegal deductions.
As reported by the State Labour Inspectorate RB, 53 legal bodies and 360 officials were brought to administrative liability for violation of labour rights in 2013. The total amount of fines exceeded 2.5 million rubles.
