Bashkir honey and cosmetics are in great demand at the Olympic Games in Sochi

Products of Bashkir beekeepers are very popular at the specialized exhibition at Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Besides honey, also bee-bread, pollen and propolis, as well as medical and cosmetic products using bee components are presented at the show brand in the Imeretinskaya Lowland. Total about 150 kinds of products by Bashkir Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Centre are offered to fans of the Olympic competition.

“Almost all our cosmetics, and "Health Spring" water with propolis and soft balm "Bashkortostan" are already sold out, as well as souvenir plush bees dressed in national Bashkir costumes. Most visitors – are foreigners. They are interested in our republic; they ask a lot of different questions. They even ask to show Bashkortostan on the electronic panel with a map of Russia, where exactly it is located. It is good that among us there are people who are fluent in several languages, including English, German and Portuguese. In addition, special information boards and leaflets with presentations of our republic help us to work at the Olympics in Sochi”, Deputy Director General for External Relations of Beekeeping and Apitherapy Research Centre Rima Ibragimova reports.

The specialized exhibition will be closed on March 16 after the end of the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games.
