More than 2.5 million tons of cargo was transported by rail in Bashkiria in January

During January 2014 the Bashkir region of Kuibyshev Railway transported more than 2.5 million tons of cargo, which is by 118.9 thousand tons more than the last year, the press service of the railway department informs.

"Oil and oil products" constituted 60.9 percent (1.5 million tons) in the total loading.

The second place in terms of traffic is occupied by building materials. During January 2014 more than 267 thousand tons of them were shipped. Compared to the last year loading of coal, building materials, chemicals and fertilizers, cement and timber cargo increased.

The greatest increase of loading against the same period of the last year is marked in transportation of oil products (7.74 percent), cement ( 8 percent), chemicals and fertilizers (9.78 percent ), coal ( 3.9 percent), construction materials (4, 48 percent) and sugar (53.7 percent).
