Construction of high-speed railway to Ufa is postponed indefinitely

The construction of lateral railway diverging from Ufa to the high-speed railway "Moscow - Kazan - Yekaterinburg" has been postponed indefinitely. This was stated by the chief of the Kuibyshev Railroad Sergei Solozhenkin at a press conference in Samara.
“It is clearly defined and worked out at the state level that high-speed railway Moscow - Kazan will be built”, Sergey Solozhenkin said. “Everything related to Ufa it is only a prospect, and quite distant. The high-speed railway will go from Kazan to Yekaterinburg and only then to Ufa. Projects are already approved, now everything will depend on funding.”
Recall that high-speed highway "Moscow - Kazan - Yekaterinburg" will be go over the territory of Moscow, Moscow region, Vladimir region, Nizhny Novgorod region, Chuvashia, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, Bashkortostan, the Perm Territory and Sverdlovsk region. The length of railway will be 1563 kilometers. The maximum speed of passenger trains will be up to 400 kilometers per hour.
The completion of the highway construction between Moscow - Kazan is scheduled for 2018.
